How to make cookies

Get bored with the same round-shaped cookies? Want to try something new and different? Make cookies in different shapes using various cake molds like eagle cake mold. Let’s  learn to use simple ingredients to make healthy yummy cookies.

Prepare the following ingredients.

125g butter, softened
100g light brown soft sugar
125g caster sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
225g self-raising flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
200g chocolate chips

Baking cookies could be easy or tough, the point is at time. Using a timer is a wise option to avoid the two extreme occasions. Cookies are supposed to be crispy if you really work it out. Now, let’s begin to learn!

1.Whizz the flour and butter until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs. Add the sugar, vanilla and egg yolks and whizz to a smooth dough. Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface into 2 sausage shapes about 4-5cm in diameter. Wrap in cling film and chill for at least 30 mins.

2.Heat oven to 180C/160C. Cut the dough into 4mm-thick slices, roll into walnut size balls, for a more homemade look, or roll into a long, thick sausage shape and slice to make neater looking cookies, more creatively, put it into angle baby cake mold to make shaped cookies. Arrange the finished ones on baking sheets, spaced slightly apart. Bake for 15 mins or until pale golden. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.

3.Heat icing following pack instructions. Add a little food coloring to each tub and ice half the cookies in yellow, and decorate with red, then ice the other half red and decorate in yellow. Leave to dry. If you want, prepare a beautiful glass can to store them if they don’t all get eaten straightaway!

Whether you're sharing them at work or including them in a bake sale, these bold little biscuits are guaranteed to brighten everyone's day!
